Neil James Parkinson

Raised in a small village on the west coast of Scotland, Neil James Parkinson is blending his love of hard rock with his roots in Scottish acoustic music. At the age of 13 after his first live show he realised that music is the only career he wanted to pursue, so focusing on learning guitar and writing songs he progressed and started to put bands together to perform in his local area.

After years of performing locally he decided to apply for college to study music in 2012, and in doing so formed his band Corrupt The System who went on to gig across the UK at various venues and festivals, primarily in Glasgow and released their first studio album titled 'Game Over' in 2016, and a handful of singles in 2018. Neil also played guitar in the rock band Take Today. In early 2020 they released the EP 'Visions'. Since mid-2020 Neil has focused on writing and recording his own music and started a YouTube channel compiled of acoustic covers that has gained a reasonable following so far, and with more original music in the pipeline he is looking to progress and expand his audience as a solo artist.

Neil's recent re-release of 'Skylines' received global airplay and was reviewed favourably, giving himself a platform to release new music starting off with the forthcoming 'Lost'.

Nico Cann

On February 7th, Nico Cann released 'Light Over The Ridge,' the latest single from the 20-year-old London-based artist. Currently studying at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP), Nico's music encapsulates the raw essence of the journey from adolescence to adulthood.

'Light Over The Ridge' is produced by Thomas Mitchener, known for his work with Frank Carter and Noahfinnce. The track delves into Nico's fundamental need to "win" and his relentless pursuit of fulfilling his dreams and aspirations.

He explains, "The ridge portrays a climb towards a reality that’s reachable, despite all the odds, if you truly believe in what you do and constantly push yourself to do better and better."

This single is part of Nico's debut project, 'Silver Lining,' a bold album exploring the universal search for meaning in uncertain times. Drawing inspiration from icons like Phil Spector, Bruce Springsteen, and Bob Clearmountain, Nico's work embodies the powerful, unfiltered spirit of classic rock while introducing experimental textures reminiscent of contemporary artists
like Jack Antonoff and Sam Fender.

Nino Mayanna

Nigerian-born, UK-based singer Nino Mayanna returns with a vibrant new release, ‘AJE’, a bold Afrobeat-R&B-pop fusion that channels determination, self-belief and the hard-earned hustle behind her artistic journey.

Nino Mayanna’s story is anything but ordinary. Raised on the streets of Lagos, she began life in humble circumstances with little sense of where her future might lead. That changed dramatically at age 11 when her father was called back to his homeland to ascend his ancestral throne, suddenly thrusting Nino into the public eye as an African Princess. Despite the shift in status, she quickly realised that royalty was not her destiny; her true calling was rooted in music.

Her journey took another dramatic turn in 2007 when she survived a life-altering gas explosion, an event that left her physically and mentally scarred. Instead of breaking her spirit, the traumatic near-death experience ignited a new chapter of creativity and emotional truth. Writing music became her sanctuary and her source of healing, ultimately shaping her into a genre-blending, boundary-pushing artist and a pioneer in incorporating the talking drum into contemporary R&B.

Now a celebrated multitalented performer and a First Class Master’s degree graduate in Performing Arts Research, Nino continues to grow her artistry, collaborating with respected creatives across the industry. Previous releases have earned her strong radio support across the UK, including BBC Kent, BBC Sheffield, BBC Radio 1Xtra, and local stations BR FM, Swale FM and Radio Africana. This history of support highlights the growing reach and resonance of her sound.

Her commitment to authenticity and originality sits at the heart of her latest single. Speaking on the inspiration behind ‘AJE’, which is sung in English and Nigerian Pidgin, Nino explains: “‘AJE’ comes from a real moment in my life where people close to me questioned the way I hustle. I am telling them not to be upset. I am grinding because no one else can provide for me. The song reflects wanting a comfortable life, choosing my own path, and asking those close to me to support me instead of doubting my drive.”

The single grew out of a moment of unfiltered creativity, shaped by the reality of her circumstances at the time. Nino recalls meeting up with a producer through a friend: “Neither of us had much money to travel to his studio or even buy food. I used the last money I had on me at the time to buy fuel and some small food. He played me the beat at his studio and with the money situation in mind the track lyrics and vibe came together.”

That raw honesty pulses through ‘AJE’, shaping its party-ready, Afrobeat-infused dance energy while grounding it in real-life grit. It is a soundtrack for anyone carving their own path and a reminder that the hustle is part of the journey.

The song 'All I Want' and 'Sweeter The Love' by the band Niteshade Uk came about through Jamming together, and we heard a sound that resonated with us all. The song was at the time about making something that people could dance to and sing at the same time. With all our different influences this led to the song being put together by all of us. And hopefully people's ears we felt would pick up on that. 'All I Want' and 'Sweeter The Love' is a continuation of music that has gone before and hopefully the world will want to hear more from Niteshade Uk.

Noah & The Void

Rising alt-pop project Noah & The Void, led by 27-year-old songwriter and mental health advocate Noah Chartier, has released a brand new single titled ‘Icarus’. The track offers a playful, uplifting take on the classic Greek myth, transforming the familiar cautionary tale into a romantic anthem about risk, desire, and the beauty of flying high. Instead of focusing on the fall, Noah invites listeners to imagine that sometimes it might just be worth the risk to soar a little closer to the sun.

Noah & The Void has quickly gained attention for its unique blend of shimmering alt-pop, acoustic soul, and emotional storytelling. While each song is sonically diverse, Noah’s work consistently ties back to themes of healing, love, and the shared emotions we all face in everyday life. What makes the project even more meaningful is its mission. All streaming revenue is donated entirely to Pediatric Cancer Research through Evan’s Crew (evanscrew.org), a foundation created in memory of Noah’s close friend Evan. To date, Noah & The Void has helped raise more than one million dollars in charitable funds, turning music into a powerful force for good.

For Noah, ‘Icarus’ started in a lighthearted way. “I began writing this track almost as a joke,” he recalls. “I had just gotten a coffee, and the girl at the drive-thru window was really cute. When I got home, I sat down at the piano and came up with a catchy progression. I usually sing gibberish over ideas until I land on a melody I like, and this time the lyric ‘I don’t wanna come down’ just came out. My nerdy brain instantly thought of Icarus flying too close to the sun, and suddenly the song took shape. It started as something fun, but in the end I got a song that feels really meaningful. Usually, the myth of Icarus is used as a warning, but I think it is fun to imagine that maybe the risk could be worth it.”

Sonically, ‘Icarus’ draws inspiration from artists like Harry Styles, RYLY, Gavin DeGraw, Johnnyswim, and Maroon 5. With its bright production, irresistible melodies, and romantic edge, the single feels both modern and timeless, blending pop sensibilities with emotional depth. At its heart, the track celebrates the thrill of taking chances, embracing desire, and choosing to live fully even if it means the fall is inevitable.
