Mick Hall - Host of "That 90s & 00s Show"

Lockdown brought a lot of sad times, but also brought a lot of us all closer toīgether.
Many moons ago when I was a lot younger I used to work with a man that did mobile disco's. So as you do when you are young, I popped along and was hooked straight away. So I jumped onto the bandwagon and got involved hands on, how all the gear worked etc etc

Did that for many years then got into the pub and club circuit. However after getting married the years slipped by I did not carry on with this hobby for many years. Then we had LOCKDOWN so I started doing sets online, instagram & facebook etc which rekindled my passion. I then got in touch with my old boss who runs a local community radio station. After a few beers I sweet talked him into a regular show.

Then came along another station -  Where I now do a regular Thursday night show
"That & 80's & 90's Show". So as you can guess things have taken off very well so I have put together "That 90's & 00's Show" now broadcasting on numerous
radio stations around the world.

Blast From The Past with Gary Hopkins

Blast From The Past with Gary Hopkins

I’ve been presenting on radio since 2011 doing live shows, but then I decided as well as these to launch my own shows for other stations. My first show was Blast from the past, which was old UK/US chart rundowns, which I may come back to eventually if time allows.

In 2019, I launched Blast from the 80s, and then during lockdown in 2020 I started Blast from the 90s.

Since then the shows have gone from strength to strength, and not only do I bring back some great tunes from these decades and memories and those kind of things, but I have the chance to chat to those who released songs in these decades as well, and play new music from them too.

Blast From The 80s:-
Thursdays 9pm to 10pm

Blast From The 90s:-

Kenny Tosh

The Revival Show with Kenny Tosh

Well, where do I start?
My Dad played with a big local showband in the late 50’s & 60’s,
so from an early age, music was always around the house as I was growing up.
I started doing discos in the local youth clubs in the mid 70’s and then into the night clubs around the country. After being bitten with the radio bug, influenced by offshore radio stations in the 60’s, I joined hospital radio as many of us did when we started.
Full time radio called in the 80’s, so away went my career as a British Telecom engineer and a move to radio in Ireland took place.

After working in various stations in Ireland & Spain, I returned home to work on a Belfast station in 1993. After an 11 year stint, I then moved to work on the Causeway coast to host drive time and onto head of music, and more recently to present a Breakfast show, Monday to Friday and again take on the position as head of music for a new Belfast station in 2016.

Over the years, I’ve worked on BBC Three counties radio, Radio Six and various stations in the UK, Canada Australia and Northern Ireland.

Today, I’ve moved my Revival show to on-line radio, as far as my musical tastes go,
it goes from from Abba to ZZ Top and from Brahms to Tchaikovsky.

The Revival Show with Kenny Tosh:-

Steve Bishop's Old Record Club Show

Steve Bishop was a button presser behind the scenes at many commercial
and BBC local stations and went on to present his own show on Radio Caroline.
Further stints on community radio stations in the South East of England led to him recording and syndicating his own oldies show, with music in the 50s to 80s period, from the comfort of his garden coal bunker, despite the fire risk. He can often be found on the terraces of Queens Park Rangers football club but wonders why, as they never go and see him when he's bad. Drinks tea like it's going out of fashion. A self-confessed luddite, he still uses CD players, record decks and tape machines. Steve’s music taste includes artists such as Electric Light Orchestra, Al Stewart, David Bowie and 1970s Queen. He intends to get away with doing his radio show for as long as possible.

Ken & MJ

Flower Power Hour with Ken & MJ

The Flower Power Hour with Ken and MJ is an internationally syndicated and intricately produced radio show which began broadcasting in September of 2021.
The Flower Power Hour is currently heard on over 190 radio stations in 20 countries,
as well as on Dash Radio Network, Pacifica Network, and many NPR and PRX stations. It's a flashback to the Golden Age of Flower Power, with music primarily from the ‘60s ,’70s and early ‘80s, and it’s dedicated to the vibe of that era – peace, love, and rock and roll.

We include at least one song or quote about peace in every show. While the focus is on music, we also mix in artist liners, interview snippets, and period comedy for an
intricately-produced, theater-of-the-mind experience. The Flower Power Hour with Ken and MJ is already endorsed by artists such as Donovan, Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, Jorma Kaukonen of Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna, Roger McGuinn of the Byrds, Richie Furay of Poco and Buffalo Springfield, Nancy Wilson of Heart, Jim McCarty of the Yardbirds, Rick Wakeman of Yes, Edgar Winter, Judy Collins, Jon Anderson of Yes and dozens of others.

Their liners and interviews in our show give it a level of credibility not heard on other shows of this type. Ken Rundel’s extensive radio experience included early stays at WCMU, WVIC, and w-4 in Michigan. Next up was the legendary album-rocker, “The Zoo” in Dallas, where he was program director and had the #1 rated midday show. Other stops included Q-102, KZPS, KOAI, KRBE and KXCC in Texas, and the ABC Radio Classic Rock Network, where he was the top-rated jock in listener surveys. Ken’s also been an attorney, actor, and improv comedy performer and instructor. MJ grew up in St. Louis and her extensive knowledge of rock and roll as well as her talent as an artist gave her incredible backstage access to all the early icons of album rock, including Cat Stevens, Alvin Lee, Jon Anderson, Donovan, Randy California, Elton John, and Ian Anderson. She handled promotion and booking for internationally known folk singer Melanie for several years. Her broadcasting career began in 2006 as co-host of the Ken and MJ Show on Radio Free Phoenix. The Flower Power Hour: Peace, Love, and Rock and Roll.

Gordon Cooper

One Hit Wonders, The Vowels Show
& The Swinging Sixties with Gordon Cooper
/ Power Ballads with Rockmeister

I bought my first single in 1969....."Sugar Sugar" by The Archies!!!
I continued collecting rather a cross section of music until my best friend bought me "Burn" by Deep Purple for my eighteen birthday!!
That was it....I became a life long "rocker" from then on!! So my first love is ROCK,
as is my second & third love.....although The Carpenters are my guilty pleasure!!

Aside from Rock, I also love Sixties & Seventies music.....probably because I lived through them!!! lol My love of Radio has been going for more years than I care to remember.....25+ years with Sunshine Radio on the Isle of Wight & a stint on internet radio with Vectis Radio for eight years, then I seemed to get offers to broadcast my shows all over the place!

A final thought....If someone had told me in 1969 not to collect the 6000 plus albums I collected over the decades because you'd be able to access them & more on a mobile phone that fits in the palm of your hand I'd have never have believed it!!! Mind, I did enjoy collecting them!!!

The Classic Chart Countdown with Dave Marley

When it comes to music, it literally rules my life.
I have been DJing since the early ’80s, but it wasn’t until the mid 90’s that I became interested in radio presenting. I love and respect all types of good music, right from as far back as the classic ’50s through to the indie-pop ’90s. Unfortunately, I didn’t really enjoy much of what music had to offer after the ’90s ended.

I grew up listening to the radio as a young lad and started collecting vinyl at the
mere age of 5 years old in the early ’70s. I would save my pocket money up to buy records as often as possible, and even now, 50 years on, I still collect music and I’m running out of space to put my vinyl collection.

I was always a massive fan of the original “Pick of the Pop” presented by the late Alan “Fluff” Freeman back in the day, and I always wanted to take a stab at doing my own take on a vintage chart countdown radio show. So here it is.. I will be doing just that right here on this station, with my show “The Classic Chart Rundown”.

I'll be bringing you a random Top 20 Chart countdown from anywhere between 1957 to 1989. It's a real nostalgia trip every time and if you're like me, a true lover of music, it won't take you long to fall in love with the show and all the personal memories it holds for every individual. I hope you can join me from time to time.

The Classic Chart Rundown with Dave Marley:-

John Rabold

Crossroads of Americana

For 30 plus years, J.R. had a vision of doing a show that brought country music
and rock music together. But it could not be just anything, it was a sound.

On one of many road trips J.R. takes, he heard a radio show while driving through North Carolina in 2017. John was inspired. This was EXACTLY the format he had in his head for YEARS! He knew, one day, he needed to bring Cosmic American Music to the masses.

Here, weekly, you will hear Traditional, Outlaw and Alt-country, country influenced rock, and Folk. What current top 40 country does, J.R. does the opposite.

Gram Parsons to Johnny Cash, The Byrds to The New Riders of the Purple Sage, Buck Owens to The Jayhawks, Steve Earle to k.d. lang, John Hiatt to the Eagles, you get the idea. And you will hear artists from right here in Indiana as well, the real Crossroads of America.

Sandy M

Sandy M's Pop Decades

Hi all, my name is Sandy M

Being a child of the 70s, I began to take notice of chart music at around the age of 5
or 6 years old, which would have been the early 80s. Like many of my school friends I would be glued to the radio as often as possible hoping to hear my favourite records. I used to visit the local record shop with my mum from a very early age, which is where my music collection began.

Over the years, I have collected many different types of music. Now I have the opportunity to share some of that music with you, here on your favourite station. My show includes weekly features such as.. “RETRO REWIND” “TIME TUNNEL” & “SANDY M's 12"INCH FINISH”.

I hope you can join me from time to time right here each week. I look forward to sharing some great music from across all the decades. 60s, 70, s 80s, 90s, 00s & 10s..

That Qwerky Place

That Qwerky Place

Having lied from an early age so I could sneak out to gigs in the 1970s...
I play music from back then, plus the very best new tracks. Think Frank Zappa meets Orla Gartland, Kate Bush hanging out with Fontaines DC, Pink Floyd checking
in with Kasabian. Some tunes you will never have heard before, others will be long lost, comforting and familiar, like finding a £20 note in an old pair of jeans.
I am also in a band that constantly rehearses, but very rarely gets gigs and I openly
share the challenges of being a below average singer and a guitar player. . I am fascinated by people and the show includes includes features, interviews
and a problem page.

Leo Kirby

50 Years and Rolling with Leo Kirby

My name is Leo Kirby and I began my broadcasting life on pirate radio and then on student radio. Then I broadcast on FM hospital radio where in 2011 I received Limericks Local Presenter of the Year Award for Hospital Radio. Also I presented on local FM radio from my home city Limerick in Ireland.

In more recent times I presented music shows on internet radio stations. The music I play on my show called 50 Years and Rolling is extremely versatile From U2 to Calvin Harris, from Steely Dan to Coldplay, from emerging acts such as Loah and Dermot Kennedy to classics such as The Police and David Bowie.

It is a must listen to show if you have any interest in music from the last 5 decades with an Irish soft easy voice doing the links in between the tunes, with personality and high quality production thrown in. Also I love extended plays and classic album tracks and trying to give up and coming recording artists a break in the radio world.

The R&B Experience with Mark Flanagan

I first started in radio way back in January 1990 at my local station 2BCR (later renamed to B-FM, and now known as 2BACR) at Bankstown. At the time I hosted a weekly music program on Tuesday nights covering music from the 50’s to the 80’s. Around 1993 I changed the format to a purely R&B-based program called “The R&B Experience”. Also at this time I joined our Saturday morning sports program Sports AM covering basketball & baseball.

During mid-1996 I decided to move stations and presented a music show on 2SSR Sutherland. It was also a various music format and ran until October 1998 when I shifted to 2GLF Liverpool to do Sunday breakfast. It was also in this time that I had a short stint on commercial station 2CA Canberra. The 2CA show did not last long and I was back at 2GLF until the end of 2000.

I took 2001 off to live & work in London with my wife before returning home, restarting my Sunday breakfast show at 2GLF. This last until mid-2005 when I picked up a casual show on Campbelltown’s commercial station C91.3. I was there for 2 years before I lost my shift and found myself (again) back at 2GLF, this time as a duo on Sunday nights for a music program called “Retro Rock Live” (www.retrorocklive.com).

We stayed at 2GLF until May 2019 when we moved on to Campbelltown’s local station 2MCR. We are currently still there on Wednesday nights playing music from the 50’s through to today.

Feeling the need to get back into solo shows I have now restarted The R&B Experience at my very first station 2BACR. I am very excited on 2 counts : playing real rhythm & blues music from Australia & around the world, and also being on my own for the first time in 13 years.

Country Favourites with Paul Brown

Hi, I'm am the founding owner of Feel Good ThrowBacks Radio (FGTB Cheshire) I'm Paul, I'm 45 and I have 2 children Fred & Zoe. Why am I mentioning them? well, I set up the station with them in mind. I had a very known DJ uncle in Crewe and sadly he passed away a couple of years ago and I got his equipment.

After driving round the country doing road gigs, I wondered how easy it was to set up a radio station following my days on Cheshire Choice FM in Northwich. It was quite easy to set up and FGTB Cheshire – it's got more complicated as we have got bigger & better.

You can find me on YouTube, under Paul Brown, or DJ-B3ee – or Paul Bannister, I answer to anything really as long as it's polite! 🙂

Ady Crampton

70s Soul, Funk & Disco Show with Ady Crampton

Listening to and playing music has always been a large part of my life. I bought my first vinyl in 1974 aged 7, by 1983 I was immersed in the UK scooter scene and began attending the rallies which boasted ex-Wigan Casino DJs on their all-nighter line-up. There was so much music that I hadn’t heard before and of course, as there was a record bar in each venue, my record collection increased although never as much as my wants list. I really get a kick out of sharing my passion for music and have enjoyed playing my 70s soul, funk and disco records to the world ever since.

I hope you can join me each week for two hours of 70s soul, funk, and disco, where I’ll be spinning those newies and crossover classics from back in the day, plus each week I’ll be chatting with a star of the 70s to find out what they’re upto now.

Flashback to the 60s with James Barrington

James Barrington was born in Liverpool in 1960, so the Mersey beat, The Beatles
and that decade’s music was always going to be part of his upbringing.
He emigrated to NZ in 1977 but couldn’t settle so moved to Australia.
His Passion for radio had never faded, so by 1980 he had developed his radio program “Flashback to the 60s” – The format was ahead of its time, liked by program directors, the program had limited success. A few years later he became a program director himself, in South Australia. He dropped his own program and presented the Breakfast program for several years.

Burnt out from waking at 3am and working until nighttime, he walked away from radio when his children were born. He moved to tropical Queensland in 1993. He always kept a home studio to gather dust. In 2021 he dusted off his home studio and for fun, recreated his Flashback To The 60s program.

12 weeks later it was broadcast around the world. The program has a back catalogue of over 100 programs and increasing. He has also developed other shows, which time permitting, will follow. James says there will never be another decade like the 60’s. A decade that changed all our lives. James spends up to 9 months of the year in Australia, and 3 or 4 months in Norwich, Cheshire.

Hits, Quizzes & Stuff with Harley Buckner

I fell in love with Radio whilst listening to the Pirates when as young teenagers
a friend and I would regularly visit the offices of Radio Caroline & London and others to hang out, ogle the secretaries and meet an occasional DJ.

At the age of 21 I was on a working holiday in my mother's home country of Oz when I was invited onto a small AM station. I've jumped behind the Mic as often as I can ever since!

I love stations like ours. No policy meetings, no overpaid ego trippers, no playlist adherence, no bombarding the audience with endless ads & Promos - just a bunch of people doing their best to entertain.

I like being here - I hope it shows.

New York's Best Rock with Magic Matt Craig

What is New York’s Best Rock?

Depends on who you ask. It doesn’t seem possible today, but in the early to mid 70s, the AM band was the dominating force in radio. In fact, it wasn’t until 1973 that the US Government mandated that all new cars had to be sold with both AM and FM tuners. AM Radio was dominated by tightly programmed music stations that played the same top 40 songs all day. Many songs repeated as frequently as every 45 minutes!

So, those of us music fans who grew up during that time were hungry for more than just those 40 records repeated over and over. In the New York Metro area, we were lucky to have a radio station whose slogan was “New York’s Best Rock”. They featured deep album tracks from rock bands of the time. It was around that time that album sales started to eclipse singles sales.

New York’s Best Rock, an “Album-Oriented-Rock” (AOR) station was certainly one of the forces behind that shift. For the first time, we could hear an alternative to the hit songs off an album on the radio. They featured deeper album tracks, and it was a tremendous success. So much so, that if you ask anyone of a certain age what New York’s Best Rock was, they can still tell you all these years later. It wasn’t just the music, it was also the DJ’s. Those who presented this music were stars themselves. It wasn’t unusual for John Lennon or Elton John or other big acts of the day to stop by the studios and chat with them when they were in town.

Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever, and in 1983, New York’s Best Rock was no more. Today, over 40 years later, New York’s Best Rock hasn’t been forgotten! Magic Matt Craig was one of those fans who grew up in the shadow of New York City listening and loving this great radio station, and it certainly had an effect on his musical tastes. Matt never forgot those heady days, and now, all these years later, he’s taken his obsession for it and turned it into his own weekly radio program. No, it’s not the original station, there’s no way to duplicate that, instead, it’s Matt’s vision of what New York’s Best Rock could have been if it lived on beyond 1983.

Matt Craig graduated from the New Institute of Technology with a BFA in Communication Arts. He worked at WGLI-AM and WNYG-AM, both in Babylon, NY. His career path veered into sales, until he retired in 2021. From 2004-2005, he hosted “Studio 108” on WEBE 108 in Bridgeport, CT. He has hosted New York's Best Rock since 2020.

Matt lives on Long Island with his wife, daughter and 3 cats.
