Carrying Torches

Hailing from the crossroads of suburban Chicago and rural farmland, Carrying Torches emerged in 2016, bringing together the talents of founding members Justin Daniel, Jon Paul Gray, Misty Okroi, Mike Bass, and Alex Jaskula.

In 2017, the band unveiled their debut EP, “Ace of Wands,” marking the beginning of their sonic journey. The following year, they released “Strangers EP,” which earned them recognition as Deli Chicago’s New Artist of the Month in September. Their track “Strangers” from the EP also clinched the coveted Song of the Year title at the Kankakee Area Music Awards in 2019.

As they continued to evolve, Carrying Torches treated fans to a series of captivating singles, including “Computer,” “Higher,” and “Stupid” in 2020, followed by “Champagne” in 2021. In 2023, the band unveiled a trio of mesmerizing singles: “Small Talk,” “Snow Angel,” and “Unusual.” The band is expected to release four singles in 2024 including “Conversations” and “All For Nothing”. With over 120 exhilarating performances under their belt and a catalog of compelling music videos, Carrying Torches shows no signs of slowing down. In 2024, the band is set to ignite stages across the Midwest (stay tuned for dates) while unveiling four eagerly anticipated singles produced by ABG Studios.

Chris Manners

Chris Manners has washed elephants in Thailand, delivered newspapers in Rio, marvelled at a volcano in Hawaii, sat in a thousand traffic jams and yawned at countless inter-office memos. He’s been honing his songwriting and performing craft for over 40 years, his work deeply rooted in the English folk tradition and influenced by the likes of Martin Carthy and Nic Jones, Bill Caddick and Jake Thackray. In Autumn 2024 he released his fourth solo album Bar the Doors and Bang the Shutters Down to excellent reviews. He lives in West Yorkshire, cut his performing teeth in Barnsley and is a long-time resident at Pete Coe’s Ryburn folk club and with the folk development organisation Ryburn 3 Step. He has performed all over the UK, including Sidmouth and Towersey festivals and West End Theatres. He was also part of the editorial and production team at the now-defunct and much-missed TykesStirrings, the listings magazine for folk music in Yorkshire.

Cindi!

CINDI! IS NOT A PERSON, CINDI! IS A METHOD OF BREAKING FREE FROM THE EVERYDAY GRIND AND ALL THOSE PESKY RULES LIFE SEEMS TO THROW AT US.

IT’S ABOUT SHAKING OFF THE CONSTRAINTS AND EMBRACING WHO YOU REALLY ARE — A CELEBRATION OF INDIVIDUALITY AND LIBERATION BORN FROM THE IDEA THAT WE ALL DESERVE A LITTLE FREEDOM, CINDI! INVITES YOU TO STEP OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE.

IF YOU’RE READY TO BREAK FREE FROM THE ORDINARY AND DIVE INTO A WORLD WHERE CREATIVITY KNOWS NO BOUNDS CINDI! IS AN EXPRESSION THAT RESONATES, INSPIRES, AND REMINDS US THAT LIFE IS WAY MORE FUN WHEN YOU’RE LIVING IT ON YOUR OWN TERMS.

CINDI! IS ALL ABOUT THOSE MOMENTS WHEN YOU FEEL TRULY ALIVE AND UNAPOLOGETICALLY YOURSELF. EACH SONG IS A REMINDER THAT IT’S OKAY TO BE DIFFERENT, TO FEEL DEEPLY, AND TO CELEBRATE THE QUIRKS THAT MAKE YOU, YOU!
