E

Eels! Eels! Eels!

East Anglia / Cambridgeshire-based 3 piece heavy blues and rock 'n' roll band.

Their latest single "How The Cruel" was released on 21 November 2025

Eibhlín

With roots in Ireland, The Netherlands and Peru, Eibhlín is an alternative folk rock band formed in Berlin. Eibhlín’s haunting imagery blends traditional Irish story-telling with a contemporary sound, reclaiming the narrative through raw honesty. Their upcoming debut EP, featuring tracks reminiscent of the sounds of The Cranberries and Lankum, will be released in Spring 2026. Ceol ar son na ndaoine gan ghlór, music for the voiceless, Eibhlín sings for all.

Eimíle

Irish singer-songwriter Eimíle announces the release of her debut single, '18th c. bbygrl', arriving on 26th June 2026. The track is the first single from her forthcoming debut album, 'Period Drama', a deeply personal project exploring endometriosis, chronic illness, womanhood, and the historical treatment of women through an Irish lens.

'18th c. bbygrl' blends alt-pop, indie, and country influences with sharp humour, biting social commentary, and a cool, restrained delivery. Driven by a grooving bassline and steady head-bobbing beat, the track tackles themes of cyclical pain, feminine archetypes, PMS, and medical trauma. At its heart, the song questions whether attitudes towards women's health and wellbeing have truly changed over time. As Eimíle puts it, the track captures "the drastic highs and lows, the hormonal shift, the before and after of the two people I exist as every month."

The single holds particular significance as the first song Eimíle wrote after cementing the concept for 'Period Drama'. It quickly became the thesis statement for the entire album. Written alongside close friend and collaborator Arianna D'Amato, known for her work with Mustii's Eurovision 2024 campaign, the song was first demoed in Eimíle's bedroom studio before being brought to producer Matt Weir (Chubby Cat, Gareth Dunlop, Bryan Adams), who helped transform it into what she describes as her favourite track on the record.

Eimíle marks a new creative chapter for Derry-based songwriter Emily McCormick. After earning recognition through projects including the acclaimed outfit Bairie, she spent years navigating symptoms that ultimately led to an endometriosis diagnosis after a twelve-year search for answers. Following surgeries and a period focused on recovery, she dedicated herself to songwriting, self-production, and developing the concept behind 'Period Drama'. In 2025, she received Arts Council funding to bring the project to life.

Taking inspiration from artists such as CMAT, Chappell Roan, Olivia Rodrigo, The Last Dinner Party, and Faye Webster, Eimíle creates music that balances vulnerability with wit, exploring deeply personal experiences through a bold and distinctive lens. Her work has already attracted notable recognition, with previous releases earning BBC Northern Ireland playlist support through 'Where Music Matters', while 'Afraid of Flying' was named one of Chordblossom's Top 10 Songs of the Year in 2022. A graduate of the Moving On Music Emerging Artist Programme, Eimíle has also been featured by Hot Press and continues to build momentum across the Irish music scene.

That momentum was evident in March 2026 when her debut headline show as Eimíle sold out. With '18th c. bbygrl', she delivers an honest, witty, and powerful introduction to 'Period Drama', establishing herself as an artist willing to explore experiences that are rarely given centre stage in contemporary songwriting.

Energy Whores

New York-based avant-electro project Energy Whores announce Mexican-born producer and DJ Grant (NYC) as an official member and release their latest single 'Fade to Gray' via Fruit Hat Records. This marks a major evolution in both the band’s sound and collaborative approach.

Founded by Carrie Schoenfeld and guitarist Attilio Valenti, Energy Whores are known for blending electronic production, rock elements, and socially charged themes. Schoenfeld leads songwriting and production, combining cinematic melodies with politically conscious lyrics.

Grant (NYC) brings over two decades of experience from the underground electronic scene. As founder of Union Jack Records, he earned early support from selectors including Seth Troxler, Atish, Pezzner, and Sasse.

After a brief hiatus, he returned in 2025 with 'Sidefoot Step' on SpekuLLa Records, landing on Traxsource’s Weekend Weapons and Hype Chart. Now based in Ensenada, Baja California, Grant adds a dark, hypnotic, groove-driven dimension to Energy Whores’ sound.

'Fade to Gray' began as a minimal idea, a broken drum loop and a specific mood. Schoenfeld explains, "Working with Grant pushed the track further. We developed it back and forth, blending my songwriting and production with his groove-driven electronic approach. It evolved naturally into something that sits between indie and electronic without being overworked. It is about the space between connection and detachment, where you are no longer fully inside something, but not completely out of it either. That gray area is where the track lives." The track is built around fractured drums and a melodic sensibility that nods to 1960s pop through a modern electronic lens. It blends warmth and melancholy with a hypnotic groove. 'Fade to Gray' is moody and introspective with a sense of emotional distance that is reflective, haunting, and subtly immersive.

With Grant now a full member, Energy Whores operate under a fully collaborative production model that integrates songwriting, electronic production, mixing, and mastering. Praised by Fame Magazine and EARMILK for their fearless artistry, and described by Clash Magazine as 'not here to soothe, here to shake you up,' Energy Whores continue to push boundaries with socially charged, danceable music that resists comfort and neutrality.
